OUR SCOPE OF COVERAGE “Welfare and Educational Institutions” without in any way limiting the ordinary meaning of the expression, means the industry or undertaking in which employers and employees are associated for the purpose of operating the following establishments:-

1. Any Private Voluntary Organisation as defined in the Private Voluntary Organisations Act, [Chapter 17:05] or formed by a deed of trust;
2. Any private school, whether trust, mission, or private college;
3. Any mission hospital, rehabilitation hospital or welfare related hospital,
4. Any nursery school, early childhood education or care centre;
5. Any religious organisation.

  But shall not include;-

1. Any government school or council run school;
2. Any private hospital;
3. Any trust established, directed or formed by the government by way of an enactment; or
4. Any trust established by the government which is registered with the High Court.
